FLORAL ASSISTANT

Our Design Team is the heart and hand of how we express ourselves through weddings and event florals internally and externally. We create and scale events through our clientele experiences, creative florals and unique design. We are focused on creative inspiration and incredible experiences for clients.

Our floral assistants will be responsible for bringing our brand expression and creativity to life on site. You will be a partner with floral design to apply your floral experience on-site, driving creative innovation / experienced events and delivering exceptional service. You’ll also play a role in continually expanding our team that lead creative events that bridge the gap from a bare space to full florals. You may, at times work independently but also collaborate closely with our lead designers, fellow vendors, and content design to define and ensure a coherent client vision across our events.

The ideal candidate has the ability to think strategically, articulate design decisions and iterate quickly. You'll cover the design spectrum–from quick, rough ideation to polished final deliverables–we'll look for work that thinks big and gets attention, but also follows our clients conceptual vision down to the smallest details.

Candidates should have broad experience working on a variety of events with multiple tasks and on tight timelines. We only have one chance to make our events spectacular.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• On-site assistance and executing entire floral design and experiences for various events & weddings.

• Assist with design operations, including on-site coordination and details that make each event spectacular.

• Communicate effectively with a lead florist, vendors, and management on the day of. This is a fast-moving job with a short window to set up events. We only have one chance to make each event incredible.

• Unpacking and arranging design details (candles, table elements, etc). 

• Maintain a tidy work space while on-site, being respectful of the venue and other vendors. 

• Support floral design efforts by being assertive and the ability to switch tasks quickly.

• Clearly articulate strategic thinking and design decisions.

• Collaborate with lead florist, fellow vendors to take event from conception to final reveal.

• May work independently on tasks at a high caliber level, and uphold tight timelines on track and show progress.

• Must be able to work in outside elements and lift up to 30lbs. 

• Must have reliable transportation, as you will be expected to meet the team on location per event.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

•  Previous experience or knowledge in floral design is preferred, but not necessary. OR 1+ years experience with floral design or on-site communication.

• Confident abilities, particularly in a quick shift of duties (on site), to effectively create and design with a diverse event & wedding base (no two events are ever the same).

• Familiarity with florals and ability to navigate onsite challenges that may arise. 

• Floral design experience is a plus, with a focus on providing exceptional service for our client base.

• Basic floral skills and knowledge to design floral arrangements on-site, when appropriate.

• Your duties will include, but not limited to moving florals from point A to B, setting tables, and having a creative eye. Able to stand/push/pull or lift on an ongoing basis throughout your shift.
